Dr. Brenda J. Smith
Dr. Brenda J. Smith is been with the Department of the Army as a civilian in the training field for over 36 years. In 2006 Dr. Smith’s passion for the latest technology, business and education lead her to obtaining her Doctorate of Education in Computing Information Technology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Smith has also received her Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Hampton University. Dr. Smith’s educational background has afforded her very rich experiences and knowledge regarding business issues, human resources, business management, marketing, sales and business/finance planning. Dr. Smith also successfully operated a family owned painting business, B&G Painting Company. From small jobs to major government contracts, B&G Painting Company was a very lucrative business Dr. Smith ran with her husband until he retired. She has had several networking marketing businesses: Direct Cellars to include reaching Director, Total Life Changes and currently with Wealth Builders Worldwide-Karatbars.
Dr. Smith also serves her community as an Adjunct Professor at Hampton University and as the President of Kingdom Bible Institute which is under the leadership of Bishop Felton Hawkins, Full Gospel Kingdom Church. Dr. Smith is a natural teacher and enjoys giving back to her community by teaching courses like Labor Relations, International Business, Human Relations, and Business Ccommunications at Hampton University.
Dr. Smith is also very active teaching business development/courses and grant writing classes. The mission of Kingdom Bible Institute is to provide Bible-based, Christ-centered training to all believers. Dr. Smith is passionate about helping people identify, understand, and utilize their Spiritual Gifts. She is an active member in her community and her church.
In 2019, Dr. Smith formed a non-profit organization, New Choices-New Minds, Inc. The mission of this organization is to be a community resource for business training, information, development, organization, management and financial planning. Dr. Smith believes that our community must become wiser about finances and business in order to break the chains of poverty. Before deciding to start New Choices New Minds, Dr. Brenda Smith has given powerful advice and supplied resources to several new startup companies and non-profits.
Dr. Brenda J. Smith is an educator and a very experienced trainer. Dr. Smith has a strong business foundation and over three decades of experience in the Department of the Army training efforts.
